The Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav is a series of events organised by the Indian government to honour the country’s 75th anniversary of independence. The Prime Minister told the crowd at Sabarmati Ashram that the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav‘ will begin 75 weeks before August 15, 2020, and will last until August 15, 2023. He paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and other great figures who sacrificed their lives in the fight for freedom.
